Hello people! Welcome to MASAT online portal!
I’m Wen Cheng and I’ll be serving as the club’s president for 10/11 Skule year (or ‘school’ you silly artscis). For starters, here’s a little bit of something about myself: I like to sleep, play basketball and chicken wings (Oh did I just say chicken wings?…’to chicken wings’?? What?…Engineers indeed do not know how to write). I’ve been involved with Skule community and other club events for the past 2 years. I’m part of University of Toronto Robotics Club (UTRA), Webdev academy, and etc. Speaking of which, I’m also involved with several mentorship programs ranging from International Mentorship Program to NSight Club. For EngScis, Nsight Club is where you’ll probably see me ‘acting’ as a mentor up front. Also, you will definitely see me during Engineering Frosh week (possibly dyed purple).
On another note, MASAT has been holding up many good events for the past two years and we committee members will try to make it better this year around. If there’s anything that I can possibly do to help you in any way possible, please do not ever hesitate to email me or tell me. Also, if you have any suggestion or idea or comment (good or bad), please let me know.
To that note, I hope to be able to help make everyone’s experience at MASAT, at UofT, at Toronto a pleasant and memorable one.

Hey Guys!
I’d like to address those who are about to spend 4 years of their life in U of T. Life here is great, fun and fast-paced. As long as you are disciplined enough, you can have no doubts in being successful at U of T. Through MASAT, you can join many activities that u might not even consider doing in Malaysia- from skiing and snowboarding, to paintball and not to forget weekly sport events. Cultural events are lively and filled with joy, and u will definitely feel at home.
To fellow friends, it will be an honor to serve you guys through MASAT. Having known most of you for about 2 years now, I would try to cater each and everyone to their needs and interests, and should there be any questions and suggestions, do contact me or any committee members immediately.
Looking forward for the whole of next year. Enjoy

Industriall Engineering – 3rd Year

I’m an Industrial Engineer, who is in a stable relationship with money and takes pleasure in the presence of it. Go figure.
I love music, concerts, movies and anything related to entertainment. Travelling is another thing I’m passionate about, and always up for anything fun!
Hope for this year: to continue to keeping the money flow of the club in control, if not making it better.
Lastly, I’m gonna leave us with what I believe should be the motto to every treasurer of any sort.
“The art is not in making money, but in keeping it”

Hi, visitor!
I’m Elmo, your sports and recreational officer for this 10/11 year. As said in my nomination speech, I would give my best in trying to get everyone active and not be a slob or being continuously slaved by the books.
The list below shows the activities which I plan to carry out this academic year (of decreasing priority):
a) Weekly sports – Basketball and Indoor Soccer
b) Yoga/Aerobic Classes
c) Fortnightly/Monthly bowling nights
d) Inter-club friendly matches – Soccer, badminton and ping-pong
e) Paintball and go-kart events
f) Midwest Games
g) Intramurals – Soccer and Badminton
However, everyone’s participation is greatly encouraged to ensure the success of those listed events. I sincerely hope that this year’s response would be greater and more diversified comparatively to last academic year.
Thank you.

Right and Wrong,
The clues to the meaning of the universe,
The moral law and the selfless altruistic impulse,
The voice of conscience that beats in the soul,
The feeling of compassion that lights up the heart,
Yet we are still standing here confused,
We are indeed young, and untender,
Almost, at times, foolish,
Often, we don’t want to admit it,
For they say wisdom, comes with age,
But even the gray-haired ones, melt on the floor,
Overcame by ephemeral pleasures,
Addicted to the heart that leaps,
Succumbing to the thrill that fleets,
Is this it?
So, this is not it, at all?
Just what is maturity?
Who can tell me?
Time flows without looking backward,
Leaving no room for the utterance of those “If’s”,
This life should be lived by being a wayfarer,
While you may survive till the evening,
Do not expect for the morning,
Same goes for tomorrow, tomorrow, and tomorrow.

Assalamualaikum and hey everyone, hope you guys/gals have been doing well in your life =) First of all, I want to give a warm welcome to the juniors coming to UofT. It’s a great place to study although I admit, it’s pretty tough to do well. But don’t worry, just keep your priorities right and manage your time wisely and you’ll be fine.–> this goes to me as well =.= .Ouch.
You can call me: Siti/Nadiah/Natun/Kak Natun/Kak Nadiah (hmmm debatable as some people don’t see me as a “senior” material)..just don’t call me Nad/Nat. That’s a no-no.
I’ll be handling anything that has to do with liaising with the university and/or other clubs as well as external clubs/societies (e.g. CMA). At the same time, I’m also the volunteer coordinator for the Orphan Sponsorship Program (OSP) and a part of the teaching teams for Peace By Peace.
Lastly, to my fellow committee members, existing seniors and juniors, I hope we could all work together to make more memorable and enjoyable experiences in MASAT =)
Best,
Nadiah
